Primary Engineering

This engineering basics course is perfect for new and returning students who are interested in hands-on creative building projects. Students will learn and apply building principles as well as construct simple robotics machines while using their creativity and critical thinking to solve real world problems! This course focuses on the application of structural and mechanical engineering for young students who are eager to begin robotics and learn how science and innovation come together to shape the future. Students will utilize LEGO bricks and picture-based coding to design and build structures and robotics with our coaches. (This class is an independent offering by SWIFT Robotics. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by LEGO Education or the LEGO Group).

Early Jr. Robotics

Join us as we explore the hands-on application of robotics specifically catered
to our youngest students! In this class, new and young students will be guided through building
and programming simple, fun, engaging robots designed to foster a love for engineering and
science. Students will utilize LEGO bricks and picture-based block programming to bring their
creations to life through interactive missions and creative challenges that encourage innovation
and exploration.

Discovering the U.S.

Discovering the United States: The Constitution & How Our Country Began
In this exciting and interactive class, students will explore how the United States was formed and why the Constitution is one of the most important documents in American history. 
Through stories, discussions, and hands-on activities, students will learn how the United States was formed, why the Constitution matters, and how they are part of the ongoing story of American democracy.

Aero-Rise Drone Lab

Take to the skies with drones! In this deeper dive into drones, students will learn flight dynamics and aero-nautical engineering principles, hands-on flight, intermediate coding for autonomous flight and competitive challenges that will push students to bring together different skills. Students will explore flight, coding, and physics through engaging aerial challenges that teach precision, teamwork and problem solving! Participants will fly self-stabilizing mini-drones and utilize word-based block programming, as well as explore coding languages (e.g. Python) in this exciting and dynamic class.

A fun, hands-on exploratory class for primary students, combining coding, science, technology, robotics, engineering, art, and math. This 6-8-year-old program brings all the branches of technology together in creative, hands-on challenges designed to spark curiosity and imagination. Students experiment and explore real-world concepts through fun weekly themes that make learning an adventure!

Jr. Robotics PLUS - Spike

Join us as we explore the hands-on application of robotics in a beginner friendly course! Students will learn to build and program robots while developing teamwork, problem solving, and critical thinking skills. All robots are built with LEGO TECHNIC style pieces and students will use word-based block coding to complete progressively more difficult challenges in a fun, small group environment with hands-on coaching. Participants will bring their creations to life through interactive missions and creative challenges that encourage innovation and exploration. Jr. Robotics PLUS - VexIQ

Come join us in this perfect follow on for students who have completed Jr. Robotics PLUS or have previous robotics experience! This course allows students to test their building and programming skills in more advanced interactive challenges. Students will design and construct complex robots using LEGO TECHNIC style pieces, word-based block programming, and remote-control operations. Additionally, students will be exposed to advanced programming languages (e.g. Python). This class is perfect for the avid robot builder who is looking for new and exciting challenges!

Battle Bots (Sumo Robot Challenge)

Get ready for a clash of the bots! In this hands on robotics class, students will design, build and program multiple robots through three rounds of sumo-style robotics battles! Students will learn to use engineering and design principles, coding strategies, and sensor technology to push their opponents out of the ring in friendly tournament competitions. Coaches will lead students through creative problem solving and competitive strategy utilizing LEGO TECHNIC style components, various sensors, and word-based block programming in a fun and engaging small group environment.

Jr. STRIPE Competition Prep

Young engineers get ready to dive into the fundamentals of design, building and coding! This class is perfect for students transitioning from Level 2 courses and /or who may be interested in future robotics competition teams. Students will work together in small teams to design, build and program a robot to navigate a competition course, completing multiple challenges along the way. This beginner friendly class builds confidence step-by-step while introducing LEGO TECHNIC style builds and word-based block coding that will prepare them for future robot competitions!
